HI:
Hi :
I have two servers , R1, R2.
Glassfish 3.1.1 is already running on R2 and the admin port is 4848 and HTTP server listen on port 8181.

I want to install Glassfish 3.1.1 on R1 in that install process i have supply the Admin Port & HTTP port for R1.

My question is are these port numbers are independent on each server ?
Means if I supply 4848 (admin port)
8181 (HTTP port) on R1 will there be a conflict of port numbers ?
will GF 3.1.1 run on both servers without any problems with same admin port num 4848 and HTTP port 8181
on R1 and R2 ? R1 being a production server.

Need some help ASAP , Thanks in advance..........

1) Verify firewall or SELINUX if there is something blocking the 4848 port.
2) ping localhost ok?
3) Verify DIRINSTALLATION/glassfish/domains/domain1/logs/server.log for errors.
4) GF3.1.1 has a problem if the name of the machine doesn't points to the right IP of the machine.

The error from Admin console seems to be related to permission to https.
Is the request somehow redirect to https in this case? Is there any
custom configuration in the server?

+1

just a feedback:
I used 3.1.1 , 3.2.1 ( this required to change the admin passwd due https)
and 4.0 on slackware 1337 x86_64 with no problems.
