Hello,
I am very glad to join this new forum. I am pretty much new to JSF 2.0. I have tried to seek out the difference of this
concept on many other forums also but no luck. I want to know whats the difference between component binding and
value binding?
BR,
Prithvi

You use component binding when you want to bind a component instance in a backing bean. Using component binding allows you to interract with the component (get some property or modify its state) in a managed bean. You retrieve an UIComponent instance with component binding.

You use value binding to give a component it's value from a backing bean. Value binding just allows you to set a dynamic value to a component.
