Sankara Rao

Sankar is a staff engineer at Sun. Sankar has been working on Java EE and application server development since 2000. At present he is actively contributing to transactions and self management modules in glassfish. Prior to joining Sun, he had worked as a scientist in defence research and devlopment oraganization in parallel computing and related areas for 3 and half years.

Complex software such as Application Server typically consists of tens of components and hundreds of configurable (tunable) parameters. Tuning those hundreds of parameters, in a clustered environment in varying load conditions is often a difficult task.

Application servers expose wealth of monitoring information.
