Eduardo Pelegri-Llopart

Eduardo Pelegri-Llopart is a Distinguished Engineer at Sun in the area of Web Services and XML. Eduardo has been involved in a number of open source efforts, starting with XEmacs (nee Lucid Emacs) many years ago. He was also involved in Tomcat (has been the lead of most of the JSP specifications), jakarta-taglibs and other Apache efforts.

Running GlassFish on Mac OS X

Yesterday I tried the latest Mac OS X build of GlassFish. I only tried a simple "hello world" application, and that worked fine but I had to hunt and peek a bit around to find how to do a few things,
so read on for a somewhat detailed description of how to install and set-up GF and how to run that hello world WAR.

There are a number of Consumer Web Services in the internet,
the eBays, Yahoos, Googles, etc.
A number of these use a REST architecture.
The JAX-WS 2.0 specification supports REST endpoints, and, with the good integration with
JAXB 2.0,
we expect a very good developer experie

Not too long ago I thought it would be neat to try an audioblog of Java News...

Glassfish to interoperate with .Net

The GlassFish Project is currently working
on adding interoperability with the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF, nee Indigo).

Openings in the WS and XML group available now

The Web Services and XML group at Sun has several new job openings. The openings are in the USA (West and East coast), India (Bangalore) and in the Czech Republic (Prague) and are available now. There are openings for engineering (all 3 locales), quality assurance (IN & CZ), program management (US) and engineering management (CZ).
