David Rupp lives in beautiful Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where he works as a Java developer and trainer. A graduate of the University of Florida, he is currently studying for his Master's degree at the University of Colorado at Denver, with a concentration in Bioinformatics. When not at the computer or in the classroom, David can be found writing music for his church choir, directing and/or performing in various musicals, and hanging out with his gorgeous wife and four terrific kids.

No, this is not the next great book in O'Reilly's excellent Developer's Notebook series. Unfortunately for me. Nevertheless, public speaking is a topic that we geeks tend to avoid, given half a chance, even though it can at times be a significant part of our job function.
