OpenDS, Sun's open-source, LDAP directory-server project and an embedded configuration store in OpenSSO, shipped its 1.0.0 release in July. Installation of OpenDS is a breeze: See Sun product line manager Nick Wooler's posting, which features a video that demonstrates the steps. The process takes less than 3 minutes.
