final death blow for hungarian notation

With different colors for parameters, member variables and so on the last bastion of hungarian notation fell.

final death blow for hungarian notation

Distinguishing the scope of variables is not a proper application of Hungarian notation, so it couldn't have been its last bastion. Hungarian notation lives on!

Poll Recommendation

I suggest we adopt a new style of conducting polls on what polls we conduct.

Poll Recommendation

let's organise a poll about that first...

Why ask

I do not see the value of this poll, is it not somewhat obvious?

Why ask

Not necessarily. A very few people, like me, just don't pay attention to colors. Now we will know whether we are the 1% or 2% of the total. :-)

Why ask

not really. If the majority of people were to use VI on a mono terminal they'd not have syntax highlighting. So what this poll really measures is the availabillity of colour screens and terminals :)

useful

especially in detecting typos before the compiler slaps you around the ears with them ;)
