Should be OpenLazlo for CDC

I was so excited at the possibility that there might be a scripting tool for JavaME...but there seems to be some cheater among us.
When I went to the talk on OpenLazlo for ME, they talked how limited CLDC was, and how difficult it would be.
So it tells me that Sun needs to FIX javaME CLDC. Security is fine, but when I asked the CIngular...I mean At&t... what restrictions they put on WindowsMobile for app signing for their CF, I was told none that they were aware of.
How Sad
So now that we have scripting on CDC devices....all 2 of them, how much longer before the other 999million CLDC devices will be given some support. Or didn't you realize that HTC phone running MobileFX is not a real production device?
Nice start, but until I can pick up a 29.99 phone at walmart with a prepaid plan and use your ME code on it, then it's useless. It feeds the FUD that the US market operators will allow JavaME to be useful on their networks, not to mention the manufacturers that still produce midp1.0 devices....I mean how useless.
The guys from Orange nailed it when they said...We got game....we don't need any more games, we need meaningful apps.
Love to help guys, but I can't make any money building a $2.00 app when I have to pay Verisign $600/yr for a signing certificate, or Sun $300/yr for their JavaVerified....which I still don't understand how that process works...just more hoops.
