The Prosciutto Project is defined around an open source, data-driven mobile application engine implemented in J2ME. You could think of it as a rapid application development framework, or a distributable mobile application engine that aims to address the problem of device fragmentation. The idea behind it is that of the use of a very basic markup language in order to define UI objects and behavior. The string representation (i.e., markup lanaguage) will be interpreted by ZAMAE (ZA Mobile Application Engine) in order to produce a graphical, on screen representation ("appearance") of each object defined, and with a specific behavior for each object as well.

The WS-Policy implementation for the Metro Web Services stack
A lightweight Ajax based rich internet application (RIA) view-layer framework that allows you to easily build applications for the web using an event-driven GUI programming model. The framework is pure Java from a developer’s perspective and therefore it does not require the developer to work with HTML, CSS or client-side JavaScript. While virtually any web application can be built, when it comes to enterprise applications, the framework excels with its highly interactive and rich user interface components. Welcome to the Timing Framework, a library for making Java animation and timing-based control easier. This project provides a framework and sample code for time-based animations in Swing and SWT. The 1.1 "classic" version of this library is fully documented in chapters 14-15 of the book Filthy Rich Clients. Newer releases of the library support a default timer, are multi-thread safe, go faster, use less memory, support both Swing and SWT, and have an improved API.

Rupy is inherently non-blocking asynchronous, which makes it the ideal candidate for high concurrency real-time applications serving dynamic data.
Tested with acme, rupy performs on average ~1500 requests per second (RPS). To put that figure in perspective; acme doesn't use keep-alive, so that means 1500 unique TCP connections serving dynamic content per second! Thanks to NIO and an event queue to avoid selector trashing, this figure degrades gracefully under high concurrency.

The Transform SWF framework is a collection of classes for each of the tags and data structures that make up the Flash (SWF) File Format Specification from Macromedia. The classes provide a completely object-based API for parsing, manipulating and generating Flash files. This allows Java applications to dynamically generate and update files that represent animations and documents which can be easily distributed and displayed on any platform that supports a graphical web browser.
Transform Utilities is designed to extend the functionality provided by the Transform SWF framework and support a higher level interface to reduce the level of effort required to implement applications. Transform Utilities simplifies the integration of sound and images into Flash file while text can be displayed using external font files allowing presentations to be localized for any spoken language.
Translate AS1 is a compiler for Macromedia's ActionScript language. Scripts are compiled to generate the binary encoded actions and byte-codes that are executed by the Flash Player when a frame is displayed; a button is clicked or when a movie clip responds to a mouse or keyboard event. The code can be added to the objects in the Transform SWF framework or integrated with a third-party Flash library.
Translate AS1 greatly reduces the level of effort required to implement complex behaviours when implementing Flash files. Rather than generating individual action objects programmatically high-level ActionScript can be used - boosting productivity and reducing errors.
