Renaming a project in java.net

Hi,

I am renaming a project. I still see the former name of the project and need to use the former name to access the directory. Is there a way to have the former disappear for good?

Unfortunately, the URL is permanent.  When you change the name, you're changing how it is listed in our list of projects, but that has no impact on the feature URLs within the project.  

The best thing would probably be to request a project with the desired name.  You can copy the contents of the older project over, or you can keep it as a subproject of your new project for an historical reference.
