is OCAP compliant with next gen EAS-CAP?

whether it is possible to display CAP EAS alert messgaes over the TV via an OCAP application.

Our understanding is that the CAP protocol is consumed and processed at the headend, not on client devices. So we do not believe there is a support requirement in OCAP itself.

does it makes sense for developing an OCAP application to display CAP feed?

This operation might be non-disruptive for certain services e.g. pDVR etc. besides avoiding hardware investment for supporting CAP.
