No one is saying that people opposed to closures are opposed because they're stupid. I think there are plenty of people arguing against closures without taking the time to fully understand what closures have to offer.
And you're right. Closures are not needed. There are lots of language features in Java that are not needed. That doesn't been that closures do not have anything to offer and would not improve the Java language. |
