Thank you for clarifying my point. Closures simplify Java. They're not some elitist feature. Closures are far easier for your garden variety developer to understand than anonymous inner classes. Closures will make it far easier for garden variety developers to use less boilerplate code for everyday tasks and thereby reduce the potential for bugs.
Like I said, I have yet to hear an argument for not including closures from someone who actually understands what closures are. |
