I can't agree with you about the creation of custom L&F because it cost a lot of work and goes against the portability principle.
Imagine a person that configured his OS with gray scale, his preferred black fancy wallpaperand other visual aspects opening a yellow application ? He will simply kick the monitor or just use the application thinking that is the worst application he ever used :)).
It is an extreme example of what hapends when an application substitute the default visual aspect by suposely better aspects..
To supose people out there are able to create better visual aspects than the default adopted by the JVM is a trap to be avoided. |
