I know this isn't the right forum for this request, but I wish they would completely get rid of the systray icon, or at lease not have it pop up a "Learn more about Java" tool tip when you visit a page with an applet. Do they really think that end-users care to learn more about Java? Ya. Right after I go "learn more about Flash". What end user cares about this? Answer: none. There are going to be a lot of web sites that would otherwise choose to use update N + applets, but will not because their users are distracted/annoyed by that tool tip (and they're encouraged to stop what they're doing and browse away from my site to java.com). Kill the java.com adware please! |
