If you, as most Java developers, think Java is great but could be a little easier and is doing some sort of web application development, consider taking a look at JSTL. It will boost up your productivity more than anything else :-)

"When paradigms change, everyone gets back to zero". That is a strong thought I learned a few weeks ago in a workshop I attended. Though it was not related to Java at all, I think it is a reasonable way to describe the new OOP-AOP transition that is taking place.
