What a difference a year makes. I've been through two role changes in the past 12 months and now find myself returning back to a 'past life' looking at Content Management. Let's see how content management has gone 'Alfresco'.

I have, quite recently, switched to a new position at the company for whom I work. Previously, I had been in a strange sort of role; officially a team lead for our web development group, but realistically much closer to a traditional web developer position.

OK, so the human brain is supposed to be designed to multitask. That means through the course of a single day, we might have to switch between literally thousands of individuals tasks. It seems that although we're all designed to do this, some of us do this better than others. Maybe some of us have better schedulers than others?

Unlike many web development shops, ours doesn't have much in the way of standards. Sure, we have a standard technology (Java), a standard application server and a standard database.
