One of my lessons-learned from JavaOne is the importance of choosing the right data access. I try to preach using the right tool for the right job and didn't realize that in my mind I had made Hibernate the choice for all data access.

Dave Johnson gave a great talk Tuesday at JavaOne (TS-1756 - Java™ Technology and REST: Implementing the Atom Protocol). I've been a fan of his roller weblogger for a few years (it's the best option for hosting your own multiple blog server) and it was great to hear him speak and to put a face to the blog server.
